Meet Kheyal
In the past 5 years, I have directed and animated 10+ short films, working both on my own and with a variety of collaborators. My films have garnered success on the festival circuit, as I am the winner of the Ray Harryhausen Best Student Film Award, a Disney Women in Film Award, two Women in Film and Television Atlanta scholarships, as well as numerous selections at other international festivals.

I am a stop motion animator, director, and fabricator, currently receiving my MFA in Animation. I was awarded a Fulbright grant to pursue an MA in Animation in the United Kingdom, received animation certificates from the Aardman Academy, and earned my BA in History and Film. My mission is to bring social justice work to handmade animation by shining a light on perspectives and stories that are overlooked in animated media.
